My key project experience

  • Coffs Harbour Hospital HVAC and Energy Upgrade:
    I was the mechanical design engineer and energy engineer on this project. It included the replacement of sixty-two (62) split ducted AC units with Chilled Water / Heating Hot Water Fan Coil Units, and the installation of a new Chiller and Heat Pump Plant, as well as the installation of rooftop solar PV and retrofit of existing Fluorescent and Incandescent light fixtures with LED fixtures. This project was delivered as an Energy Performance Contract managed by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage on behalf of NSW Health.
  • Shoalhaven Hospital Chilled Water Upgrade and Centralisation:
    I was the mechanical design engineer and energy engineer on this project. It included the upgrade, replacement, and centralisation of four (4) existing standalone cooling systems distributed throughout the different ages of buildings on site, including air cooled chiller, reciprocating DX chillers, and condenserless chilled water systems. The final solution was a variable primary / variable secondary hydronic system serviced by variable speed air cooled chiller. This project was delivered as an Energy Performance Contract managed by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage on behalf of NSW Health. It also included the installation of Rooftop Solar PV and LED Lighting Upgrades.
  • Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital and the Central Energy Plant Building Management System (BMS):
    I was the lead BMCS Design Engineer for the BMCS contractor on the Central Energy Plant at Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital. I was responsible for control system design, construction, programming, documentation, commissioning, and tuning.
  • Cairns School of Arts Tenancy Fitouts:
    I was the mechanical design engineer for the design and construct tenancy fitout works at Cairns School of Arts. This included several tenancies within the heritage listed School of Arts building. My role included design development with the client from both a functional and aesthetic perspective, as well as design and implementation of the technical solution.
