Hydraulic Design Consultant & Hydraulic BIM Manager
Year joined DMA: 2021
I work with clients across a range of industry sectors, from small tenancy fit outs to large scale senior living developments.
Prior to becoming a Hydraulic Design Consultant, I spent 13 years in the plumbing and gas fitting industry. This experience has given me the hands-on knowledge to truly understand the challenges my client’s face, and to tailor their hydraulic designs and documentation to meet their needs. Having more accurate system design frequently saves my clients from costly variations.
I have a particular area of interest in helping clients to achieve their energy efficiency goals on their projects. I recently completed a technically challenging project for TAFE Queensland for a five-level cooking school where I was able to help the client hit their NABERS and Greenstar ratings by specifying and coordinating a complex selection of cooking fixtures and equipment.
I take pride in knowing that I can produce accurate and detailed designs that benefit both the client and the contractor.
In addition to my qualifications in Hydraulics and Project Management, I have also undertaken specialised training in legionella bacteria management in reticulated hot water systems….and am a licensed Real Estate Agent!
Note: these are projects Daniel worked on prior to joining DMA Engineers.
The beauty of hydraulics design is when no one even notices it’s there, it’s just part of helping day-to-day life run more smoothly. So for me creating inner beauty if when we are able to achieve this for both our clients and the end users.
