My professional background

I’m a third-year mechanical engineering student, studying at Queensland University of Technology. I have a  driving passion for the fire safety industry, and am enjoying working hands on on a range of fire safety projects with DMA Engineers’ clients. Having transitioned from the contracting side of the fire industry, I’m looking forward to expanding my skills into engineering consulting.

My specialisations

  • Fire sprinkler design.
  • Dry fire design.

My key project experience from my previous role at FVS Construction:

  • Chester & Ella Newstead (FVS) – Collaborated with clients, architects, engineers & contractors to supply construction issue drawings for both the wet and dry fire systems.
  • University of Tasmania (FVS) – Coordinated technical requirements, scheduling and fabrication design during the coordination phase of the project.
  • Salvation Army Aged Care Cairns (FVS) – Executed the deliverables that the client requested through supplying construction issue wet drawings by the requested date.

My qualifications

  • Currently completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)
