Hydraulic Designer
Year joined DMA: May 2017
I’m able to pair a flexible approach with an understanding of the safety and operability requirements of a project, tailored to suit my client’s needs.
For ten years I worked as a qualified plumber and drainer on a large variety of commercial and industrial projects. In 2017, DMA gave me the opportunity to work with them as a cadet hydraulic designer. I enjoy problem-solving to create functional and cost-effective designs.
Using my previous experience as a plumber and drainer and the experience I have so far gained in engineering, I am able to offer my clients a wealth of knowledge and advice that can assist in solving issues and identifying problems before they arrive on site and throughout the build. When challenges do present themselves, I am quick to assist my clients and help all parties involved achieve a positive outcome.
I’ve had a wide range of experience during my time at DMA, and I’ve seen many different projects in different areas. My work on some major projects has included:
Responsible for completing the hydraulic designs and obtaining approvals from councils and other authorities for multiple designs for plumbers based in Brisbane, consistently achieving quick turnarounds to meet client needs.
Creating inner beauty means creating a design that may not be seen but due to the complexity and beauty of the hydraulic design this has allowed the client to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing overall product.
