Have a few jobs in the pipeline?
Let us help you save time. Get a free review of your hydraulics plans today.

We know how hard it can be as a plumbing contractor to find the time to properly review the design documents you receive from your consultants on D&C jobs. But a proper review can help you to identify if there are things you could leave out, or things that are missing, that could result in significant time and cost savings for your project.

This is why the Hydraulics team at DMA Engineers are offering FREE peer reviews to licensed QBCC Plumbing Contractors before construction commences to help you identify any potential time and cost savings on your design documents. We can also advise on practical solutions for any design issues you’re experiencing.

Here’s an example of the outcome from a previous peer review we’ve undertaken:

DMA were engaged by a body corporate to peer review a building with stormwater flooding issues.

The body corporate were underway with a design solution from other consultancy that included a gravity pump and tank solution, at significant cost. The DMA hydraulics team investigated the flooding issues and were able to recommend an alternate gravity design solution, which ultimately saved the owners $500,000 on the immediate project, as well as saving significant ongoing maintenance costs and carpark real-estate compared to the original design solution.

Who will undertake your review, and why are they qualified to do it?

Here’s our Hydraulics team at DMA: (L to R) Rory O’Malley (Hydraulic Principal), Dean Carter (Hydraulic Consultant), Sarah Phillips (Cadet Hydraulic Engineer), and Ashley Monson (Hydraulic Consultant).

Rory will oversee all peer reviews, but he will draw on the different backgrounds and skill sets of the team in order to get as many different perspectives on your project as possible.

Rory, Ashley and Dean all hold Queensland plumber, drainer and gasfitter licences. With years of ‘being in the trenches’, they provide practical design solutions for what’s actually going to be installed on site (not just in accordance with Australian Standards).

In addition:

  • We are fully licensed QBCC Designers.
  • We have an average of 20-year’s plumbing industry experience across the hydraulic team, including trade time.
  • We’ve worked on a range of projects of all shapes and sizes and in various industries. Some of our best work can be seen on the following projects: Lutwyche Shopping Centre, Tewantin Aged Care, McDonald’s Queen Street, The Avenue at Maroochydore.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch (we promise!) – we simply want to get to know you, and for you to experience what it’s like to work with DMA. We’re happy to review any kind of project from any industry, including tender documents. The only conditions of the peer review are:

  • It’s limited to high-level initial schematic design of 2D documents.
  • We’re offering up to two-hours review time per project. If you would like us to continue work after this, or undertake additional activities such as site inspections, we will offer you a discounted rate.
  • Reviews are limited to 3 projects per contractor.
