Senator the Hon. Matt Canavan
Federal Minister for Resources and Northern Australia

Minister Canavan is the first Senator to be based in Rockhampton for more than 20 years. Prior to becoming the Minister for Resources and Northern Australia he served as a Director at the Productivity Commission and has worked on competition law, climate change, infrastructure tax incentives, regional development, new dam investment and coal seam gas initiatives.
