CEDA: Unlocking Data in the Public Interest

March 31, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

How can we maximise the economic and social benefits of data and data access?

Speakers

Gabriela D’Souza, Senior Economist, CEDA
Tim Kelsey, Chief Executive, Australian Digital Health Agency

<h2 ‘=””>Event overviewThe increasingly sophisticated use of data and analytics is providing some with competitive advantage, challenging traditional operations and informing new ways of doing business. New technology and the application of data presents opportunity to empower customers, consumers and constituents if data sharing, accessibility and ethical concerns can be solved.

New skills and thinking are required to transfer knowledge to intelligence, extract value from data and establish a framework that delivers for the public good, enables innovation and distributes value equitably across our economy and society.

CEDA’s forthcoming report Unlocking data in the public interest investigates the policy, regulatory and skills shifts required to maximise the benefits of data and data access.
