If you’re passionate about challenging ‘sixtyfive-ism’ and changing the way we currently design communities and buildings for life in later years, join us for Longevity by Design.
Longevity by Design is a charrette, or design challenge, that will be held in Brisbane over one day on 6 February 2020. It’s a joint initiative of The University of Queensland ‘s Healthy Ageing Initiative and DMA Engineers, with support from our event partners Paynters and Redland City Council.
Facilitated by Dr Rosemary Kennedy, the charrette will bring together thought leaders and professionals across a broad range of industries involved in designing for later life, building on the foundations of The University of Queensland’s Healthy Ageing Initiative.
Registered teams will take on a design challenge set in the Redlands. Teams will have a choice of three sites to work on, where they will be challenged to create visionary, innovative and highly connected design to meet the needs of future seniors in 2050.
