My professional background

I help clients to achieve a safe built environment in their projects, whether it’s a hospital redevelopment, state-of-the-art aged care facility or major shopping centre. I have more than 18 years industry experience, primarily in fire safety and fire services engineering in high rise buildings, retail, healthcare and commercial developments. I have worked on a wide variety of projects that have allowed me to build on my experience in fire safety and fire services engineering.

My knowledge of fire safety and codes allows me to formulate and analyse diverse solutions from practical, cost and code compliance points of view to ensure clients achieve their goals.

I have been DMA’s project manager and lead fire engineer on the following projects:

  • Coomera City Centre Shopping Centre project.
  • Lutwyche Shopping Centre project.
  • Brisbane Markets – Warehouse C1 project.
  • Stockland Townsville project
  • Townsville Hospital CSSD – Design of sprinkler system, design of fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Logan Hospital Ward 2F – Design of fire detection & alarm systems, and fire hose reel & hydrant systems.
  • Redlands Hospital – Upgrade of fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Logan Hospital LPOS – Design of fire detection & alarm systems, and design of fire hose reel & hydrant systems.
  • Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital -Fire detection and alarm systems upgrade.

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Masters Degree in Building Fire Safety and Risk Engineering
