The existing facility of approx. 6000m² was extended by approx. 1000m² to accommodate greater loading dock capabilities and additional automation systems including product packaging/loading systems.

DMA Engineers was engaged to undertake Design & Construct (D&C) documentation for the mechanical and electrical services associated with the extension of the facility. This included:

• new evaporative cooling systems to the loading dock extension.
• air conditioning to staff rooms and main switch room.
• lighting including high-bays, carpark lighting and emergency lighting.
• power and data services to support the equipment and devices associated with the extension.
• Electronic access control systems for personnel and traffic movements.
• CCTV systems to support the extension and automation systems.

The new bakery extension was completed in 2017. The services designed by DMA were cost effective solutions that will support Goodman Fielder in the improved delivery and dispatch of goods and assist in improving overall efficiencies.
