Located in Camp Hill, Tarragindi, Yeronga and Morningside, each of the Learning Sanctuary centres needed to provide a secure, nurturing environment while meeting all necessary planning and regulatory requirements. Each facility included the development of an in-ground carpark level and two levels of internal learning and care space above.

DMA Engineers was engaged by the SJ Higgins team to provide mechanical and electrical building services design for all four facilities. Working closely with WG Architects, we successfully delivered functional and comfortable designs including:

• air conditioning and ventilation to the occupied spaces with particular a focus on acoustic requirements and detailed spatial co-ordination due to compact ceiling spaces and structural arrangements.
• security, power and lighting services including downlights, in-ground up-lights and floodlights to outdoor play areas.

Staff, parents and children all benefit from the conveniently located and comfortable facilities with numerous play features. All four centres provide a safe and fun environment where children can learn and be cared for.
