Bolton Clarke wanted to provide a more welcoming experience at Carrington for all residents, their visitors and staff. To achieve this, the project team focused on upgrading the external finishes to improve the ‘arrival experience’, upgrading internal facilities to soften what was considered an ‘institutional’ feel within the centre, and upgrading the Special Care Wing to align with the current thinking for best practice design for those living with dementia.
DMA Engineers was engaged to design the electrical, fire, hydraulic and mechanical services for the project.
Understanding the project requirements, our team ensured that every part of our design was prioritising the best interests of residents and staff in the facility, designing the services to be seamlessly integrated without detracting from the site’s aesthetics.
